Script
First scene (plan of the betting table)
Mr White: Gentlemen, your bets. (Mr. Jones goes first)
Mr Jones: I pass. (makes a gesture with his hand)
Mr White: Pass. (addresses Tyler) Mr Anderson, your bet, please.
Tyler: (Looks at his cards, plan of him with the cards) I go up, all in.
Mr White: Go up. (addresses Miss Evans) Miss Evans equals or withdraws
Miss Evans: Equal, all in
(Mr Jones also matches the bet)
Mr White: Gentlemen, show playing cards. (Everyone shows their cards)
Mr Anderson wins a major hand.

Tyler: Thank you, gentlemen, it's all for today we'll see you soon (he finishes drinking,
gets up and leaves the place)

Mr Jones: That boy should be cautious, he's having a lucky run but when it's gone

Second scene (Tyler comes home to celebrate with Alison)
Tyler: Honey, tonight I won a lot of money, let's celebrate!

Third scene (Alison chats with her best friend Megan, weeks later)

Fifth scene (Alison fights with Tyler for his addiction)
Alison: Tyler, I'm tired, you have a serious addiction and you're going to end up very badly.

Message: After this, Tyler kept betting until he loses everything, his house,
his car and all his belongings, his life….

Final scene: Tyler is shown lying on the street like a homeless person.
Final message: Do not let some game tokens take away what you want the most.

The production and opinions
Game tokens
The production, by coconut productions.
Game tokens is a short film based in the dark and deep topic of the
addictions, more specifically, the addiction of the bet games.
The short film talks about Tyler, a man that gets money by this games.
He plays in a illegal betting house whit "Mr White" as Dealer; "Alison;
and Mr. Jones. The story tell us how Tyler by the bets lose everything,
his relationship and his house, and we see how he don't stop.
He finishes under a bridge, drugged. The history talks too about the
addictions to the alcohol and the drugs. At different parts of the filming,
we had different type of problems, like the no participation of characters
in important scenes, like the scene two, or the scene five. Along the movie
the color of the scenes changes to black and white, along Tyler loses, to the
end, that turns totally black and white.

Why we chose this theme?
We think this is an actual problem that can affect to anyone, and is a very interesting topic because the producer had to do many thinks to know how this illegal bets works, from investigations in internet, for make the representation the best possible, to look for a dangerous place to record the short film. The production had first a lot of problems, but in the end, the producer got the best way to get the best quality in the representation of the actors, the casting whit the clothes and the scenography.
The vision of Coconut Productions
Coconut Productions have a a conscientizing vision. That means that the producer want to make more short films like this to concientice to the people of the problems of millions.
Opinions
Jose Luis Sanchez: In my opinion this project allows me to see a face of reality that
I’m not used to see, as this simple addiction can lead to more serious and I also feel that
I can get closer to my colleagues, especially Antia who arrived in the middle of the project
and he was always asking me how the movie was going. It also allowed me to learn to know
when something happens to be a hobby to an addiction. In general I loved the project and
I’m happy with the final result. Despite the stress of the delivery dates, pressure, everything
was very good, I feel we knew each other better. Thanks to all the Coconut Productions team
for making this project go forward, each one with its bit of sand contributed a lot. Thank you.
Santiago Sevilla Mateus: The opinion I have created after making or carrying out the film,
could be summed up in that I feel happy with the result and at the same time opposed to
something's during the filming of the movie. I can say without mistake that the end result after
all the development of the movie was very correct for me, because, at the end it is the result of
a good edition added to many performances that cost to make. But at the same time I feel that
the project could have been much better if they had given us more time in the movie and more
time to deliver the project.
Elisa Izuel Gómez: All of the experiences I’ve had on this group have been nothing but
positive. As an introverted person I’m not really into working in pairs or groups, but this
experience has changed my perspective on this hambit. Participating in this project has
encouraged me to do scripts, creating more characters and it has motivated me to record
movies because it’s an interesting experience that can transmit messages, like the things the
characters are feeling or even metaphors in the lights and colors of the escene. Even though I
played a secondary character it was fun to say all her lines and play her personality on the
screen. If we talk about the topic of the short film, of course is a serious subject and it was
an honour to make it look meaningful and mature, because is something that can happen
to anyone, even the actors of this film.
Santiago Uribe Z: I think that this production is positive to our learn, this makes us learn a lot
of useful things, the creation of a short film with this theme makes us conscientize about
cotidian problems that could affect us. Along the production of the movie, we had many
problems, but we overcome theme. There are some things that i didn’t like of my group,
like that somes didn’t help in nothing. At the post production, Jose Luis and I, we had to do all.

we could not record scene 6, the post production had a lot of problems, but we did it, and i’m
proud of it.
